Due to lack of oportunities for a good career and high unemployment rates, local people are leaving our town and move abroad or to the capital in search of a better living . Our mission is to give people of Vratsa and the region a chance for challenging and well paid jobs. We are conducting courses for people to aquire digital skills and use them to find jobs that can be worked remotely so they are able to stay in their hometown. This project will provide scholarships for 12 ambitious trainees.
Vratsa is located in the poorest region in all of Europe. COVID-19 deepened the crisis and left many people jobless. Young and ambitious people who want to develop in Vratsa are forced to leave the city. Statistics show that the population of Vratsa has decreased by as much as 50% in the last 25 years. Many of them cannot afford paid programming, design and digital marketing courses. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality education. That is why we created Vratsa Software Society.
The mission of Vratsa Software Society is to establish a digital community that will give the people of Vratsa the opportunity to have a challenging and well-payed career by providing them high quality education. We offer courses in coding, digital marketing and design for high school students and adults who want to retrain. Every year more than 20 of our students take part in national IT competitions and events. We will give three scholarships to our most talented students from each course.
Some of the most popular and preferred careers all around the world are in the IT field. The future is in the higher technologies, so more and more young people want to give their effort for global prosperity. The children of Vratsa are no different than the other and the huge interest is a fact. By helping 12 students to study and receive valuable skill from proven experts in their respective fields, we will have the opportunity to take our place on the map with some of the best professionals.
