Over the past few months, our students have successfully moved on with their training in PHP and JAVA programming. Since the beginning of the course, their training has been conducted entirely online due to the strict measures that the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria has repeatedly and purposefully imposed to control the pandemic in the country. However, this does not in any way affect the access to quality information, presentations, learning resources and additional materials for the students. They can access them at any time. Lectures are held twice a week.
Thanks to you, 7 people have a real chance by the end of this year to graduate successfully and start working in the IT field. The first module of training has just been completed and the second one has started. 25 people out of a total of 34 who started the course will pass in the second module. 13 of them are students and 12 are adults.
We plan to start conducting the lectures of the course on site as soon as the attendance classes in the country are allowed.
In the meantime, we are launching a campaign for two new courses - digital marketing and software testing. The campaign is aimed at youths who do not study, do not work or are affected by the COVID-19 crisis in any way possible. The aim is to lend a hand to people whose fates have taken a turn for the worse since the pandemic. We plan to start the new QA and digital marketing courses until the situation in the country calms down and the indoor classes are allowed. This trainings are part of the "Direction Employment" , implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the Youth Unemployment Fund, within the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. In Bulgaria the project is implemented by the "Workshop Foundation for Civic Initiatives Foundation ". The training provider is Vola Software Ltd.
We take this opportunity to thank all our partners, lecturers and students for their hard work, despite the challenges we have faced these recent months. And last but not least, to all the donors who supported our cause to provide quality training in the poorest region in Bulgaria - we would not be able to do without you!
