Youth LEAP Kick Off !!!

By Maria Santana | Program Manager

Our YouthLEAP groups are kicking off next week and we are ready! We're so excited to be working at a record 12 program sites this semester throughout the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens, including 9 returning partners. We just wrapped up facilitator trainings two weeks ago, where our volunteers learned about the essentials of group work and how to effectively run groups with young people. They are now gearing up to take what they've learned -- along with their flip chart paper and other program supplies! -- and start building community within their groups, one session at a time.

If you want to see more of what happened during last year's Youth LEAP groups, check out RAP's 10-Year Report. You can see some of the highlights from 2008 through 2018, and it also features our new mission statement and how we've grown throughout the decade we dedicated to youth voice, healing, and justice.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership! If you'd like to hear more from us and our youth throughout the semester, be sure follow RAP on Facebook and Instagram for updates!
