Provide Education for 100 Students in Philippines

Foundation University has always been an advocate of work scholarship aligning with its mission to provide quality education to the intellectually gifted but financially challenged children.  The university continues this mission because aside from the above reason, there are gratifying personal and professional benefits when it graduates a work scholar:

The following are its personal and professional significant achoevements:

1). The student is able to learn a strong work ethic in balancing academics and work responsibility which instills in themselves discipline and teaches them to be capable of managing time and priorities.

2). It teaches the student financial independence and responsibility because they have to budget their expenses with a work scholars earnings with maturity and determination.

3). it builds their character traits with having to manage work and studies and shaping them to become more resilient, persevering and humble, essentials oto their growth and success.

4) Being a work scholar will give them a feel of real-world experience especially in office admnistration, customer service or any other areas from which they were assigned to.

5). It will develop a strong sense of gratitude and purpose having overcome the financial hardships in obtaining quality education and gives them a deeper appreciation for education and motivates them to give back to their communities or perhaps pay it forward to other children.

6). Work scholars have this opportunity of interacting with closely with the university staff and administrators which leads them to become mentors to others while possibly obtain good job recommendations.

We have graduated several work scholars recently earning different degrees.  May they become an inspiration to other young students facing similar challenges who want to carve their own path in the future.  The key is hard work, determination and faith in one's ability can lead to success.
