The University joined the whole country in celebrating Nutrition Month through a weeklong series of activities held July 22 to 27.
Themed “Kumain nang Wasto at Maging Aktibo… Push Natin to!,” students organized and took part in various celebrations starting with “Dance for Life Zumba” last July 22 at the FU Green. This was followed by the Poster-Making Contest last July 23 at the Home Economics Laboratory. Last July 24, the Physical Fitness Relay Race, Tug of War and the Physical Fitness Dance Competition was also held.
The Nutrition Month Celebration was officially capped through a Culmination Program and Awarding Ceremony held July Friday, 26 at the James B. Herring Audio-Visual Room.
Through such celebrations, good nutrition and healthy lifestyle are being promoted as essential to their day to day living. Such practice will lead them to maximize their youthful days and strength in order to achieve success and goals in life. For indeed, health is wealth!"
