When we met Aminah, a 12-year-old Girl living on the streets of Kampala, she had not slept safely in weeks. Her days were spent begging for food and dodging violence, and school felt like a forgotten dream. Through this project, our outreach team connected with Aminah during a routine street visit. With patient engagement and counselling, she agreed to come to our transitional rehabilitation home. Today, Aminah is clean, healthy, attending basic literacy classes, and slowly rebuilding trust with adults. Her smile, once rare, is now a daily reminder of what your support makes possible.
Since our last report, we have conducted regular street outreaches and provided immediate support to dozens of street-connected children, including meals, basic healthcare, counseling, and protection services. Several children have been supported to leave the streets and enter our rehabilitation program, where they receive structured care, psychosocial support, and education. For those not yet ready to transition, we continue consistent follow-up, building trust and preparing them for a safer future off the streets.
Your generosity is helping children move from survival to stability. Each outreach, counselling session, and reintegration step is made possible because donors like you believe that no child belongs on the streets. Thank you for standing with these children and walking with them on their journey toward dignity, safety, and hope.
