Nyara Youth Development has experienced a productive and encouraging reporting period, continuing to provide consistent support to children and youth across the Nyara Villages through education, mentorship, sport, psychosocial wellbeing, and community development initiatives. Despite ongoing upgrades and improvements to the NYD Centre, the team remained committed to ensuring uninterrupted programme delivery and maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for learners.

Nyara Youth Development is incredibly proud of the growth and progress achieved during this reporting period. Through the support of multiple funding and implementation partners, the organisation has been able to expand its reach, strengthen programme delivery, grow its team, and deepen its impact within the community. The significant increase in learner attendance, the visible growth in learner confidence and engagement, and the continued trust shown by families and community members are all encouraging indicators that the work is making a meaningful difference.

We do need to however make a meaningful effort towards fundraising for this initiative.   Funds have been very slow in coming in. 

This quarter has reinforced the importance of holistic, community-based support that addresses not only academic needs, but also wellbeing, nutrition, mentorship, digital inclusion, and personal development. As demand for services continues to grow, Nyara Youth Development remains committed to strengthening organisational systems, improving monitoring and evaluation, expanding access to opportunities, and ensuring that every child and young person who engages with our programmes is supported to reach their full potential.
