Thank you for supporting our efforts to help 100 orphaned children living with HIV in Zvimba District, Zimbabwe. Since launching the project, generous donors have contributed US$720, bringing us one step closer to helping orphaned children take their medication consistently and attend their clinic appointments. Every contribution is helping build a healthier future for these children.
In line with GlobalGiving's normal disbursement schedule, the funds are currently being processed before being transferred to our organization. During this period, we are preparing for implementation by coordinating with local health facilities and community partners, confirming the children who will participate in the project, and planning the orientation of the 25 community health workers who will support caregivers through regular home visits. These preparations will enable activities to begin as soon as the funds are received.
We look forward to sharing the start of home visits, stories of caregivers receiving guidance on helping children take their HIV medication every day and attend clinic appointments, and the progress made in helping children remain healthy and on treatment. As we continue working towards our fundraising goal, every donation and every shared message helps us reach more orphaned children with the support they need to stay on life-saving HIV treatment.
