We have received word of an 8-10 year old albino girl named Shanitah, who was being kept by a "witch doctor" in Western Uganda. We were told that Shanitah is suffering from numerous wounds, particularly on her head, where she has been repeatedly cut in order to collect her blood for use in "magic" rituals.
I have just sent authorization and funds to the HHI Country Director, and head of SCOSP Uganda, Michael Sabiiti to organize an immediate rescue mission to find the girl and bring her to safety, where we can get her wounds treated and get her enrolled in a safe school, where she has a future beyond degradation, pain, suffering and death.
As inconceivable as it sounds, this is real life, not the script of a horror movie. The trafficking of the body parts of persons with albinism in Africa not only happens, but is a growing problem.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! PLEASE! While I am very grateful for the opportunity to help others through our 501c3 public charity Humanity Healing International, but there are days where my heart weeps and my soul bleeds by the work we do.
How you can help:
First, keep Shanitah in your hearts and send prayers for the successful rescue of this little girl by Michael and his team from the hands of this monster who is victimizing her. May they find only helpful hands and hearts until Shanitah is safe.
Second, please donate whatever you can. We are a 501c3 public charity. Donations are tax-deductable and 100% of the donations we receive go to the projects. My wife, Liane, and I cover the all operational expenses of the charity ourselves.
Third, sponsor a child. Sponsorship is $30/month - $1 a day - and keeps one of the children with albinism we have rescued in safe schools and cared for. We have far more children than we have sponsors, and we desperately need more open hearts to step forward.
The easiest way to donate or become a sponsor is here through GlobalGiving.
Thank you, and Bless you for your Compassion!
