Heirloom Seeds Collection and Distribution Project

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our initiative collecting and distributing heirloom seeds to our farmers. We are experiencing harsher and harsher condtions that are not conducive to farming due to climate change and there is a great need to go back to the raising of heirloom seeds in order to mitigate food insecurity. Heirloom seeds have survived so many years of genetic improvement in a natural way and this is the best approach to improve food sources in the villages. We are also jiving this with our focus on enrolling our initiative to carbon offset and carbon offset mechanisms in order to generate more funds for food production by farmers. This reporting period we are able to source 5 heirloom seeds and we will plant and reproduce them in our training and demonstration farms so that they multiply and we will be able to distribute them to farmers later on. This project is important in order to preserve the rich biodiversity in our area. Some of the factors that are destroying our biodiversity is massive forest and soil loss, climate change, poverty and the lack of support from the government. Our initiative is groundbreaking and we hope that this can be replicated in a wide area as possible. Your support is enjoined since we cannot do this alone.
