MEDRIX is celebrating the completion of Life-Saving- Heart Surgeries for children in need during the year of 2022. Now we look forward to the year, 2023, the “Year of the Cat” in Vietnam. It is MEDRIX understanding that the cat symbolizes perseverance, patience, thinking ahead and starting to do something with perseverance to complete the task. MEDRIX’s determination is continues to assist in sponsoring additional children needing lifesaving heart surgery! And with your help we can do this! Congenital, (genetic) heart disease globally is the number one abnormality for children.

Now back to the Cat: It is the time of 2023 Lunar New Year celebrated globally by approximately 4 ½ billion people. It is a time of year of great gatherings of family, former and current teachers, and friends. Families have the tradition to gather and share yummy food and fun celebrations together. There are community gatherings, parades, and pink or yellow blooming bougainvillea’s trees or branches to decorate the streets, homes, schools, businesses, and hotels. Bright red banners blow in the breeze to greet all who come and go. Another fun tradition is to give children a bright red envelope with a ‘little money’ in it. No matter the amount placed in the envelope, the custom is a joyful one for the children. MEDRIX wants to thank you for your donations both large and small. No matter if it is in a red envelope or a gracious donation ‘on line’, we thank you. You can make 2023 a year of hope and promise for the parents of children with life threating heart defects.
