Khoi and his mom are breathing easier !

The Covid pandemic may be decreasing in the USA, and in Europe, but in many places globally the pandemic is still causing havoc.  This is  particularly true in developing countries such as Vietnam.  And although Covid is still on the forefront of global thinking, Ms Huyen is thinking of other things these days.

She is thinking about her precious newborn son, Khoi.  He was born in a remote village in Central Vietnam.   Little Khoi was recently diagnosed with a very severe heart condition. Emergency surgery was needed.  So in the few days after his short life began little Khoi entered the hospital for life-saving heart surgery.   And, that's exactly what happened.  The surgery saved his life.  Yeah!!

He’ll need additional surgery in the future, but for now he is getting enough oxygen to sustain his life until he grows more and is strong enough for the next surgery.

The emergency is over, and they went home today.   He’s pretty tired, and so are mom and dad.   But they all will breath easier for awhile.

Thank you for supporting Khoi and other children who face severe needs even as the pandemic continues to affect many.
