This project will enrich early childhood education programs at Tomorrow's Youth Organization by installing a kitchen and library to benefit over 500 at-risk children who participate in TYO each year.
Political strife and restricted movement have led to poverty, isolation and trauma in Nablus, particularly for 50,000 refugees and the 60% of residents under 25. TYO offers positive early childhood experiences to at-risk children. The lasting impact of such quality programs at an early age is well documented in the face of challenges such as violence or poverty. TYO's programs for mothers (exercise, health, computer, etc) encourage their development as people and parents.
Purchase kitchen equipment to offer hot meals for children and nutrition classes for mothers. Build a child-friendly library with books and storytelling tools to bolster kids' literacy skills, love of learning and tools for healthy self-expression.
TYO is a safe space where up to 5,000 residents play and learn each year, making the Nablus community safer, healthier and more productive. This project supports well-nourished and literate children: the foundations of a dynamic, healthy community.
