Hello friends,
About 10 minutes ago a container with 1.1 million N95 masks and 19,000 bottles of hand sanitizer was loaded in Virginia to go to Honduras. They will be distributed to socialized hospitals and clinics all over the country.
The story is a great one. One of my medical interns, Gabby, got married not long ago. At the wedding her moms brother in law was at the wedding. He is a ER physician in Virginia. They got in a conversation about our needs and the physician said he had 1.1 million masks to be donated from another business. A tabacco company that we have no ties with. The masks were donated. Another nonprofit in virginia said to them, we will store them in our warehouse until shipping to Honduras. Again, I do not know any of these people .
They not only stored them for the past 2 weeks but loaded them onto the container for us, all because they wanted to help. We have made new friends. We are in awe of how these things work out with no plans of our own. Not a coincidence.
Thanks,
Gratefully yours,
gayle
