Every day when we arrive at the Clinic there are many people already in line outside to be seen. The longest walk I know of was a young lady with her baby who walked 8 hours in the night so she would be at the clinic when it opened at 8 am and be first in line. The baby was very sick and she was a new single mom with no resources.
Many others are there everyday for respiratory treatment as asthma is rampid in Honduras where they basically live in a dirt environment. Seeing a child or a adult take an easy breath for the first time is difficult to describe.
We have also hooked up a invertor in my vehicle so I can also provide respiratory treatment in the remote villages. After attack is under control it is a matter of education and medicine to keep the person from having further outbreaks.
Thank you for literally providing the air our patients breath and the equipment and medications we need to accomplish this. It is truly miraculous to watch.
