Healthcare for 96 Women & Children Violence Victims

The program includes psychosocial care for victims of violence in the State of Guerrero, Mexico. As part of the assistance and rehabilitation measures, the following activities have been carried out in the period from January to February:

January: 22 child victims were treated by offering a weekly session to each of these, that is, 4 sessions per person, with 80 sessions in total. Of the 20 victims mentioned, 14 were girls and 8 were boys.

February: 27 victims were treated (child and teenagers), of which 14 were girls, 8 boys and 5 teenagers; A weekly session was offered to each of these, that is, 4 sessions per person, having 108 sessions for this period of time.

Through this program it is intended to restore the emotional condition of the victims, with psychosocial intervention being of vital importance since they have developed chronic degenerative diseases due to the emotional burden they suffer as a result of the victimizing event.

On the other hand, 56 families who have presented various health problems have been consulted with herbal treatment, massage and / or acupuncture.

Additionally, administrative procedures have been made before State institutions so that 73 victims of violence and in a state of vulnerability (35 men and 38 women) receive free health services such as laboratory tests, ultrasounds, x-rays; medical care in general medicine, dental, family planning, pediatrics, gynecology, diabetes and two-birth care services.

On the other hand, a training session was held for the team that is implementing the psychosocial intervention. The trainings are fundamental pillars for the professional growth of the victims' companions as they seek to strengthen their learning and tools to offer adequate comprehensive care.

The names of the beneficiaries are omitted, as well as photos of them for reasons of confidentiality and security
