Summary

Floods across Sumatra have left thousands of families facing damaged homes, disrupted livelihoods, and limited access to essential healthcare. Damaged infrastructure, poor sanitation, and limited clean water increase the risk of illness, especially for children, elderly people, pregnant women, and vulnerable families. Challenge

Floods across Sumatra have disrupted the lives of thousands of families and limited access to essential healthcare. Damaged infrastructure, restricted transportation, poor sanitation, and limited access to clean water have increased the risk of illness, especially for children, elderly people, pregnant women, and vulnerable families. Many communities continue to face health challenges long after the floodwaters recede.

Solution

This project will restore access to essential healthcare for flood-affected families across Sumatra. Donations will help provide medical consultations, health check-ups, medicines, healthcare supplies, and emergency medical support. Working with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and local partners, Human Initiative will ensure vulnerable communities receive the care they need to recover safely, prevent disease, and rebuild their lives after the floods.

Long-Term Impact

By providing healthcare support during recovery, this project helps strengthen community resilience after disasters. Families will be better equipped to prevent and manage health risks, allowing them to return to daily activities, restore livelihoods, and recover more sustainably.
