There are moments when life reminds us that no one is alone.
The earthquake we experienced a few days ago has taught us profound lessons and reminded us of something essential: when life becomes fragile, we need to be ready to care for one another.
That is why, even from a distance, San Vicente Fundación Hospital opened its doors to people affected by the earthquake who needed urgent medical care.
We have received patients from Chocó, Pereira, and different municipalities across Antioquia, including Sonsón.
While our healthcare teams do what they do best: caring for life with excellence and humanity, donations allow us to support their families as well, providing them with food and assistance throughout their loved one’s stay at the hospital.
Because a strong institution is not built only when an emergency arrives.
It is built long before.
It is built every day by strengthening our services, investing in medical technology, improving our facilities, and preparing ourselves to be there when life needs us most.
That is what we did during the pandemic.
That is what we are doing today.
And that is what we want to continue doing tomorrow.
This year, thanks to donations, we were able to acquire a laparoscopy tower for our adult care unit, advanced technology that allows our medical teams to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures, supporting more precise care and more favorable recovery for our patients.
This is just one example of what it means to be prepared.
Every donation helps build that capacity.
Every contribution prepares us to care.
Every person who joins us strengthens our ability to be there when we are needed most.
Today, Colombia needs us to stand together.
Donate. Share. Invite others to join us.
Because your support does more than respond to a need today.
It helps ensure that tomorrow, we will continue to have a place ready to care for life.
You are part of this mission, too.
Thank you for standing with us.
