In the most troublesome time of recent history, in the age of Corona virus, people with disabilities, single parents, elderly, Roma and homeless are suffering the most. They represent the most vulnerable groups that uses support of the Church soup kitchen in Belgrade, Serbia. Aim of the project is to provide hygiene kits for 150 such families and 300 homeless people as a support for isolation and protection during the Corona virus crisis.
For 150 families with children, old people or members with disabilities it is more important than ever to take care of hygiene which is essential in the fight against the transmission of the virus. Families living in poverty can't afford to buy everything that they need and sometimes problem is also in restrictions due to the state of emergency that is proclaimed in Serbia on March 16. We need to provide 150 family and 300 individual hygiene packages so 800 people can protect their health.
Divac Foundation is gathering support from various donor communities in order to provide hygiene packages for people that suffers the most in this crisis. Packages contain products like soap, shampoo, toilet paper, cleanser, detergent, wet tissues, etc. Our local partners and volunteers are delivering packages for the beneficiaries on 4 spots in Belgrade or bringing packages to their homes. We can help 150 families and 300 homeless people overcome this crisis easier if you supports us!
Families in need will easier overcome period of pandemics, isolation and limited living conditions. Besides this project, Divac Foundation is gathering food and hygiene packages and distributing them to the people in need across the country. We are developing our base of supporters and also providing opportunities for donors to involve and support people in need.
