PHASE Nepal-GlobeMed at Tufts Global Giving Report
By Alexa Reilly - Director of Partnerships
PHASE Health Workers and Tufts Students
Thanks in part to your donations, PHASE’s health posts have substantially increased availability to necessary health services in rural areas like Bichhya. The organization continues to provide immunization, maternal support, health education programs, and care for health concerns ranging from injuries to pneumonia. PHASE was recently recognized for their incredible work in far-western Nepal (in areas near the Bichhya health post) with the Else Kröner Fresenius Award for Development Cooperation in Medicine.
Reaching our fundraising goal this year will allow GlobeMed at Tufts to meet its commitment to fully fund the Bichhya health post for the coming year. Thanks to all the generous donations we’ve received from people like you, we are excited to announce that we’ve raised over $2000 towards this goal. We look forward to getting closer to our goal in the upcoming months with initiatives like a donation matching day on Tuesday, November 28 and our yearly sweater sale in early December. Thank you once again to all who have donated!
