This project will help construct the first phases of a health clinic in Moche Valley, Peru. The clinic will offer subsidized or free services to the patients from a poor region of 10,000 people.
More than 14 million people in Peru lack basic human necessities such as clean water, health care, proper sanitation, good schools, and economic opportunities. Many of them reside in rural communities with limited opportunities for development. MOCHE, Inc. works alongside the community to reach obtainable goals. The health clinic will provide primary health care, such as prenatal and birth care, as well as health education classes to a region of 10,000 people lacking basic health supervision.
The clinic will be community-run, and will not only provide care to the community, but will also teach them basic health skills that they can show their children. This important education helps the people of the region live fuller, healthier lives.
The clinic in Bello Horizonte will provide free or subsidized services based on patient income to 10,000 inhabitants. This is one of many sustainable development projects that MOCHE has started to provide basic needs to the impoverished region.
