New addition in to thefamily of Arias home of HOPE

By Namratha | program manager

Jeevitha, 13-year-old girl is from Villipuram village in Tamil Nadu. In 2009 she was detected with HIV/AIDS and her life completely changed. Her uncle cheated on them. She was going through mental trauma and hence cocooned herself from the environment. Her mother who is supposed to be her biggest support was unable to do much. Slowly Jeevita lost the interest in studies and stopped going to school. Fear constantly lingered on Jeevita’s mind. Her mother the only bread winner of the family could not fulfill the emotional needs of Jeevita. Doctors of Villipuram Government hospital were aware of their situation and referred them to Arias Home.
Jeevita and her mother visited the home, saw for themselves the services provided at home, felt satisfied with the care the children here get and then admitted her in the HOME. Life was not good until she came in the abode of Arias Home.
Today, Jeevitha is overcoming her struggles and has rejoined VIII Std. she has started opening up and likes to chat with the Home manager.
Our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for supporting the home to give hope to Jeevita and all the other children who are beneficiaries of the home.
