On March 1st, DF organized Bal Health Mela(Children’s health fair) in the Untdi district of Gujarat. The objectives of the fair were to provide health and hygiene education to children residing in rural areas, conduct health checkups for them and to raise awareness on nutritional diet and waste management. The fair was attended by more than 1200 children and their parents from the neighboring villages. The activities included basic health checkup, dental checkup, and sessions on waste management and habits. The focus was also on the side effects of addiction/ substance use. These activities were conducted using games such as snakes and ladder, ring toss, puppet shows etc.
