Dear partners,
Dehydration is one of the most common triggers of sickle cell crises. When children do not drink enough water — or when the only available water is unsafe — their blood becomes thicker, circulation slows, and painful episodes begin. In Northern Nigeria, clean water is scarce, and displaced families often ration what little they have.
Your support allows us to provide hydration packs, oral rehydration salts, and safewater containers to families who need them most. These simple tools help children stay hydrated throughout the day, even in harsh camp conditions.
With additional donations, we can expand safewater access, supply more hydration kits, and support families during the dry season when dehydration risk is highest. Hydration saves lives — and your generosity makes it possible.
Warmly,
