Thank you again for standing with our sick kids.
You may already know this but I wanted to particularly highlight the difficulty in getting blood transfusion for kids with the deadly sickle cell disease.
First, this kids are in hard to reach crises ridden communities where road access is limited. Then we need to find matching donors (often requires repeated testing which also cost money). Where a match cannot be found, we must travel to urban centers and the logistics of shipping blood and blood products through these terrain is cumbersome. Having to deal with these problems when a child is literarily dying is truamatic for parents.
We can avoid these and this is why we're soliciting your help. Every cent donated brings us closer to preventing their cells from sickling.
Please continue to stand with us as we prepare to move to implementation and I will be right here providing you with an update.
