Over 40% of Ukrainian veterans face PTSD, and for many, traditional treatments fall short. Our Medical Center (a unit of "Light of Hope") is bringing international evidence-based practice to Ukraine: Ketamine-Assisted Therapy. By funding essential medical equipment, you provide 100+ veterans with access to safe, effective care. Your support helps warriors restore their mental health, find peaceful sleep, and successfully return to their families and communities.
The war in Ukraine has triggered a mental health crisis, with PTSD affecting up to 40% of veterans. Traditional treatments often fail: nearly 50% of patients face treatment-resistant depression that standard medications cannot fix. While Ketamine-Assisted Therapy is a recognized global evidence-based standard (US/EU), access in Ukraine remains critically limited. Our Medical Center is ready to offer this care for free, but we lack the equipment to ensure high clinical safety standards.
We implement a comprehensive Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) model based on international medical protocols. The project combines medical supervision with expert psychotherapy at our Medical Center (unit of "Light of Hope"). By securing vital monitors, oxygen concentrators, and clinical beds, we create a safe space for free-of-charge care. This allows 100+ heroes annually to restore brain neuroplasticity through evidence-based methods and successfully reintegrate into society.
The project establishes a permanent hub in Ukraine utilizing the world's most advanced rehabilitation practices. By restoring veterans' mental health, we prevent social isolation and family breakdowns. The equipped Center will provide free evidence-based care for years, turning trauma into resilience. This is a strategic investment in Ukraine's recovery: healthy veterans return as active citizens and parents, rebuilding the country's human capital and long-term social stability.
