A Children's Day Full of Magic and Hope

By Miguel Juarez | Community Manager

Last Wednesday, April 22, at AMANC San Luis Potosí, we experienced an afternoon that will remain in the hearts of our children and their families forever. Since early morning, excitement filled the air. Our kids arrived at AMANC with smiles and energy, ready to enjoy a different kind of experience. The destination: Rancho La Estación, where fun was already waiting for them.

Arriving there was awesome, the place transformed into a world full of adventure. Every corner offered a new opportunity to dream and enjoy: horseback riding, a pirate treasure hunt, a space simulator, recreational activities, and the chance to interact with animals. Everything was surrounded by the ranch’s natural beauty, making the experience even more special.

Food was also part of the celebration: prepared corn, mini pancakes, snacks, fresh fruit, and flavored waters filled the first hours of the day. Later on, pizza and tacos arrived to recharge energy and keep the fun going.

The most special part was seeing how not only the children, but also their parents, joined every activity with enthusiasm. It was a space where worries were put on pause and joy took their place.

Kids loved the piñata, where,  laughter, sunshine, and excitement filled everyone who participated with the excitement of grabbing some candy.

To close the day on a high note, the magic continued with the arrival of special characters like Batman, a princess, and K-pop warriors, who gave gifts to each child, making that moment unforgettable.

At the end of the day, the tiredness was evident… but even more so was the happiness. We returned to AMANC with full hearts, grateful for every smile and every shared moment.

These kinds of experiences are possible thanks to the support of people like you. Your generosity not only provides care, but also brings moments of joy, rest, and hope to children facing cancer.

Thank you for being part of these memories that light their path

Quarterly Report 2026 –  Physiotherapy Project
Organization: Mexican Association for Helping Children with Cancer of San Luis Potosí (AMANC SLP)
Period: January – March 2026

Project Summary

During this quarter, we strengthened our physiotherapy services for children undergoing cancer treatment. Our goal has been to reduce physical complications, improve functional recovery, and support the emotional well-being of each patient.

Thanks to the support of GlobalGiving, we have been able to provide comprehensive, personalized, and continuous care to our beneficiaries.

Children Served

During this period, 40 children and teenagers received regular physiotherapy sessions for their medical and functional needs.

Services included:

  • Motor rehabilitation
  • Muscle strengthening exercises
  • Therapies to improve balance and coordination
  • Pain management
  • Early stimulation for younger patients

Results Achieved

  • 80% of our patients showed improvements in mobility and strength
  • Reduced pain and fatigue in most cases
  • Greater adherence to medical treatments
  • Improved confidence and emotional well-being

Families reported visible progress, highlighting greater independence in daily activities.

Use of Resources

During this quarter, the project enabled us to:

  • Implement playful, child-friendly materials to encourage participation
  • Maintain a safe, dignified, and appropriate rehabilitation space

Conclusion

This quarter reaffirms that physiotherapy is a key component in the comprehensive recovery of children with cancer. It not only improves their physical condition but also strengthens their emotional well-being and hope.

We will continue working to ensure that every child not only overcomes the disease but also regains their strength, mobility, and joy for life.

Thanks to this collective effort, our patients were also able to experience meaningful moments that enrich their lives.
