Summary

During cancer treatment, children and adolescents face pain, fatigue, and reduced mobility that affect their quality of life. Regaining strength and autonomy is vital for their physical and emotional well-being. At AMANC San Luis Potosi, we support them with compassion-but our therapy room lacks proper equipment. This project will transform it into a dignified space where movement fosters healing, empowerment, and hope.

Challenge

Children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment face physical limitations caused by chemotherapy, surgeries, and prolonged hospital stays. These aftereffects can lead to loss of mobility, chronic pain, and emotional challenges. At AMANC SLP, our physical therapy clinic lacks the equipment needed to provide comfortable, complete, and personalized sessions. Without these tools, our beneficiaries miss the opportunity to regain strength, autonomy, and the joy of moving freely.

Solution

This project will equip AMANC SLP's physical therapy clinic with essential tools for safe, effective, and personalized care. It includes sterilizable equipment, mobility aids, pain relief tools, compact cardio machines, and playful materials. Portable stimulation units will foster engagement. The space will be welcoming and dignified, encouraging emotional healing, continuity of care, and active participation.

Long-Term Impact

By strengthening our physical therapy services, we aim to reduce long-term physical aftereffects, improve treatment outcomes, and enhance emotional well-being. Families will witness tangible progress in their children's recovery, fostering hope, resilience, and dignity. This project ensures that children not only survive cancer-but thrive, move freely, and reclaim their strength with joy.
