Project Report

By Awurabena Jones | Programs Manager

It is with deep gratitude and hope that we share the latest update on Titi (not her real name), the courageous three-year-old girl at the heart of this project. Through your generosity, Titi continues to make steady progress on her developmental journey, showing that every act of kindness truly makes a difference.

Over the past months, Titi has maintained her progress in physiotherapy and speech therapy, and her therapists are encouraged by her growing strength and awareness. She can now hold herself up with support, a remarkable sign of improved muscle tone and balance. Her ability to maintain posture for longer periods demonstrates her body’s increasing coordination and endurance—signs that she’s steadily moving toward independent mobility.

Beyond physical growth, Titi is becoming more responsive to sound and familiar voices. She now turns her head when her name is called and reacts with smiles and gestures to music and conversation. Her therapists note that she’s beginning to show stronger emotional and cognitive engagement—recognizing people, routines, and playtime cues.

During sensory play, Titi also engages more actively with her environment. She follows colorful toys with her eyes and reaches out to touch or hold them—showing that her visual focus, motor control, and curiosity are all developing together. Each of these moments, though small, represents significant milestones on her path to communication and independence.

These gains have been possible only through consistent therapy and loving support, provided weekly by a dedicated team of specialists. However, Titi’s care must continue uninterrupted for her to build on this foundation. Her therapies remain essential to strengthening her muscles, developing her speech, and supporting her brain function.

To maintain this momentum, we urgently need ongoing donor support. Your contributions fund her therapy sessions, transportation to appointments, and any recommended medical aids that help her progress—such as mobility supports or specialized equipment. Every donation helps keep Titi’s journey moving forward.

Despite the challenges, Titi’s resilience shines through. She greets her caregivers with excitement, participates in her sessions with growing confidence, and continues to inspire everyone who meets her. With your help, we can ensure that she keeps reaching new milestones—one hopeful step at a time.

Thank you for continuing to believe in Titi’s future and in the power of compassion to transform lives.
