The Shelter for the Vulnerable is still in progress because of the huge need in the Nelson Mandela Metro. People are given warm well ballanced meeals daily at the GBV Shelter every morning. Whereby people gather together to fetch their food, toiletries, meds which they receive from Doctors Beyond Boarders on Wednesdays when they are seen by the doctors. Extraction of teweth, small incisions, wound dressings are done for them. Meds are given to the paople but stays with the manager of the Center and is given to them when they fetch food. These recipients receive blankets, clothes, prayer and counseling. Once the shelter is opened it will all be provided in the same building which will then rehabilitate these people and prepare them for reintergration into society to create a better society fore all.
Some recipients volunteer to assist in trhe various Food Gardens which we have started. It is also therapheutical for them and teaches them resposibilty.
