This GivingTuesday, FMIC aims to raise $70,000 to fund 30 life-changing spinal surgeries for indigent patients in Afghanistan. Each surgery costs $3335, with FMIC covering 30% via its welfare program. Donations will bridge the gap, ensuring access to care for women, children, and rural populations who face financial and logistical barriers. Your support restores mobility and hope to those in need. Together, let's heal spines and transform lives in one of the world's most underserved regions.
Afghanistan's poor economic conditions and limited healthcare infrastructure leave indigent patients unable to access critical spinal treatment. High surgery costs and steep transportation expenses from rural areas make quality care unattainable for many. Women, children, and underserved communities face the greatest barriers. "The frequency of spine tuberculosis, Kyphosis and Scoliosis that lead to permanent disability, is very high in Afghanistan, with no other center besides FMIC". Dr Nijrabi
This project aims to provide 30 life-saving spinal surgeries for indigent patients in Afghanistan. By covering 100% of the surgery costs, FMIC aims to remove financial barriers that prevent vulnerable populations, including women, children, and rural communities, from accessing care. With specialized surgeries, including for spine tuberculosis, FMIC is the only center offering this treatment. Donations will ensure that these patients can receive critical spinal care and regain mobility and hope.
The long-term impact of this project will be improved access to essential spinal healthcare for underserved populations in Afghanistan. By enabling 30 patients to receive life-changing surgeries, it will reduce disability, improve quality of life, and enhance mobility. The project will also highlight the importance of accessible healthcare, encouraging ongoing support for FMIC's mission to provide high-quality care, particularly for economically disadvantaged communities across Afghanistan.
