Education has suffered due to war and COVID-19, with over 2.8 million children affected and many testing below basic levels in core subjects. Snack provision is limited, and reading rooms are poorly equipped.
Organization for Social Service Health and Development Tigray plans to offer regular nutritious snacks, supply essential books in English, Math, and Tigrigna, and provide community-led tutorial support.
The initiative will improve children's nutrition, learning resources, and academic readiness, helping them compete fairly in national exams.
