Hi all,
Today’s the day! Any donations made TODAY to our three-week campaign, “Give 100 U.S. Patients Life-Changing Hand Surgery,” will be doubled up to $1,000. We are so thankful to all who have donated thus far: ASSH and AFSH leadership, friends and family members, past and present THP volunteers, corporate partners, and new contributors entirely! Every donation brings us closer to our goal of $10,000 to give 100 U.S. Patients Life-Changing Hand Surgery.
As we celebrate our progress thus far, we want to share a story from 2017 that inspires us to continue to do more to provide free hand surgery. Here is a post-op video of Jose, a patient at San Francisco’s 2017 Hand Day: The Touching Hands Project - San Francisco Hand Day - Post Operation Interview. Thanks to Dr. Diao, Jose received the conversion of a fused wrist with no motion in 25 years to a mobile artificial wrist by reconstruction with a Total Wrist implant of metal and polyethylene (Stryker ReMotion System). This means that Jose could not move his wrist for 25 years and now he can!
Imagine the relief felt after being able to move your wrist fully for the first time in 25 years. Imagine the relief that all 30 patients felt in 2017 and even more can feel this year with your support! Today, your donation will have double the impact. More free surgeries on more Hand Days throughout the country.
Please donate today – any amount you can give is appreciated.
