Disaster Relief Supplies Drive

Sorting supply items

Since mid March 2011, Hands On Tokyo has expanded our activities to include disaster relief efforts in the Tohoku region. Our Tohoku disaster relief initiates have included delivering relief supplies to over 54 shelters and partner organizations in Tohoku. For the details, please see link below.

Total items we sent since March 2011:

21,529 Towels
32,228 Toothbrushes & Tubes of Toothpaste
21,568 Blankets
1,179 Pairs of Socks
185 Pairs of Slippers
132 Pairs of Rubber Gloves
52,420 Bottles of Drinking Water
and countless articles of clothing and other supplies

Total delivery cost for these supplies as of end September accounted for JPY2,102,765.-, which is about US$28,000 with current FX rate of 1$-Yen75.
