We are excited to be expanding our program to 6 additional schools beginning in January 2018. These schools are based in East Palo Alto, CA and Oakland, CA. The students we will work with are almost all low-income, and in 5 schools are largely English Learners. In East Palo Alto we have a signed memorandum of understanding with the school district and they are helping with logistics. In Oakland, we are working with an innovative school and will build cultural relevancy into our curriculum.
We are also building a partnership with some after school organizations to bring science books to their literacy programs.
