Year 3 at Hakuna Matata is on Social Skills and the children have been exploring the significance of social skills and approaches to mastering the skill through our workshops.
The monthly workshops of Hakuna Matata for the 11 children are at the core of this capacity-building project.
We conducted a monthly workshop on HM- Capacity Building with a focus on two major core skills: Creative thinking and Responsible decision-making. The workshop had activity-based sessions that allowed children to participate and engage in the session. Along with the core skill, the component of analysis, self-evaluation, and conversation skills was also added to the session.
An interactive and participatory monthly workshop was conducted for the children of Hakuna Matata. The workshop focused on the skills such as group work, assertiveness, analyzing social skills, and leadership role. The major highlight of the workshop was to help children instill the skill to deliver presentations to a group of people.
