Women and children in Haitian are dying of hunger just because the single mother do not have the mean to get basic food on the table. The Haitian Women Small Business Initiatives is helping women to start their own small business in order for them to be self sufficient. With a small business, these single mothers can and will be able to have the means to feed their family, sent their children to school and help themselves to be some what sustainable. There are about 10-20,000 single mother in Leogane section of Haiti who are struggling to feed themselves and their family. There is a great them not jus give these women food for one day or two days but a way to help them and help themselves. These women are hard workers but just do not have the opportunity to either educate themselves or just to have the means to self stability.
The goal of this project is help Haitian women especially single mothers to get the means to open their small business which will help them to feed themselves and their family. we will also help with small business training, workshop to better educated them on how to successful run a small business. We will give them the funds and the material/product their need to start their small business.
The major problem that will be fix is that children will have daily meal and be able to go to school because their mother has the means thru her small business to do so. Families are starving because of lack of food or means to purchase food. Children are not able to attend school because their single mothers are not able to afford to send them. The long term effect will be having a community where women are self sufficient. Children are able to attend school and get a good education.
