Prosthetics

During the months of July to November 2023, FONTEN provided 5,740 rehabilitation consultations, of which 1351 were for children and 4389 for adults. We also received 350 new patients. 170 people were consulted in mobile clinics in 3 different communities.At the prosthesis and orthosis workshop, 237 orthoses and 1 prosthesis were made and 22 prostheses were repaired. In the clubfoot program, 209 consultations were held. In addition to the physical rehabilitation services FONTEN continues to carry out training activities for its patients. During these months, workshops were held for parents of children with disabilities, amputees and stroke patients. FONTEN is one of the only centers in the south of Haiti that distributes technical aids in the south of Haiti, during these months it delivered 128 technical aids.
FONTEN continues to receive patients daily and to work for a more inclusive community, but we achieve this thanks to the commitment and help of all of you. Please consider making a monthly donation, which will directly benefit thousands of people in southern Haiti. Every donation counts!
