Thank you for your generous support of GlobalGiving’s Haiti Crisis Relief Fund. Your generosity is helping nonprofits across Haiti provide essential healthcare, nutritious food, clean water, and other critical services to families affected by violence and displacement.

Haiti's humanitarian crisis continues to deepen. As of September 2026, nearly 1.5 million people have been displaced from their homes by ongoing violence, and roughly half the country's population is struggling to get enough food to eat.

Access to essential services remains severely limited, with only about a quarter of inpatient health facilities nationwide fully functional. Access to reliable healthcare remains severely limited, with only about a quarter of inpatient health facilities nationwide fully functional.

Amid these challenges, nonprofits across Haiti continue to care for their communities, finding ways to deliver essential services and reach people whose needs might otherwise go unmet

In our most recent round of grants, your donation is helping three nonprofit partners continue their work in healthcare, food security, nutrition, and protection for women and girls.

Here’s what one local leader wanted you share about what this funding makes possible:

“Your generous support and unwavering trust are of vital importance. This grant will enable us to ensure the continuity of our priority programs on the ground and strengthen our assistance operations for the vulnerable populations affected“ - the CHSAN team

Here is a short description of some of the critical work you’ve supported:

  • Asosyasyon Peyizan Fondwa (APF) provides essential health care to families in Fondwa, a rural community where more people are seeking services after fleeing violence elsewhere in Haiti.  This grant will help keepAPF's community clinic running,  providing care for pregnant women, children, and people managing chronic illness.
  • Foundation for Advancement of Haitian Midwives (FAHM) trains midwifery students to recognize signs of gender-based violence, care for survivors, and connect women and girls with additional supportThis grant will help FAHM expand its training and prepare more midwives to provide care as violence and limited health care access continue to affect many people across Haiti.
  • Concorde Haïtienne de Sécurité Alimentaire et Nutritionnelle (CHSAN) helps families in Haiti's Grand'Anse region access food and clean drinking water. Their program includes distributing food packages, providing seeds to farmers, and offering nutritional programs for children and breastfeeding mothers. This grant will help CHSAN continue providing food to families while supporting food systems so communities can sustain themselves over the long haul.

Haiti's challenges are complex, and the future remains uncertain. Yet across the country, nonprofit partners continue to draw on their knowledge, relationships, and commitment to their communities to respond to urgent needs.

Your generosity helps make it possible for organizations like these to continue this important work—supporting access to health care, addressing hunger, and strengthening essential services for people navigating an ongoing crisis.

Thank you for your compassion and continued solidarity with communities in Haiti. We're grateful to be part of connecting your support with the people and organizations doing this work.

With gratitude,

Nicole Bissell & the GlobalGiving team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
