“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” – Albert Schweitzer
First of all we want to thank you for your solidarity and generosity in 2020 and inform you that Father Rick Frechette and his team, despite the epidemic continue to deliver 90,000 liters of water per day, 6 days a week, donating it to the poorest families, with 2 tank trucks in the slums of Port au Prince. A third watertruck is used as a form of social business for sale in less degraded areas, to support the business. Distribution takes place particularly in the Citè Soleil slums where 400,000 live people in shacks and garbage dumps, in areas called Boston, Soleil 19, Soleil 22, Ti Haiti, Nan Boule, Bois Neuf, Nordway, Belecourt, Soleil 17, Wharf Jeremie, Soleil 4, Soleil 2, Soleil 26, Simon Pele, La Saline, other areas are also served such as Delmas 2, Delmas 31, Petite Place Cazeau, Petionville and others.
A piece of good news and our warmest wishes for a safe and healthy New Year.
