Dear Friends of Global Health Charities,
We have a wonderful update from Haiti. We were able to send an additional 1,005 Clean Birth Kits to Haiti in partnership with Building Bridges of Hope. They are expected to arrive in late April or early May.
Protecting these vulnerable mothers is critically important not only for each mother and her newborn, but for the entire family. Research shows that children whose mothers die are more than four times as likely to die before reaching the age of five compared to children whose mothers survive. When a mother lives, her children are far more likely to live as well.
