Full Moon Farm is home to 70 wolfdogs currently. Many of our enclosures are in dire need of repair or replacement and several are not an adequate size for the wolfdogs (min 2500 sq. ft). Our goal is to build at least 2 new enclosures (for Achilles and Isabelle) and repair 2 others (River and Indy/Coal) that are in very poor condition. These new enclosures will ensure that these 5 wolfdogs can enjoy a spacious living area and live out the rest of their lives in comfort.
Many of our enclosures are in dire need of repair or replacement. More importantly many of them are not an adequate size for the wolfdogs. A suitable sized enclosure is 2500 square feet or larger. Wolves and wolfdogs are extremely intelligent animals and require proper stimulation, such as climbing platforms and plenty of running room. Currently we are unable to provide this type of enrichment for all of our residents.
Our goal is to build at least 2 new enclosures and repair 2 others that are in very poor condition. These new enclosures will ensure that our wolfdogs can enjoy a spacious living area and live out the rest of their lives in comfort. Something they certainly deserve after the neglect and abuse they suffered before their rescue and arrival at Full Moon Farm.
Two new enclosures will house 2 of our newest rescues, Achilles and Isabelle. Achilles was rescued from Animal Control in Virginia where he was scheduled for euthanasia. Isabelle was being misrepresented as a pure wolf and was living in squalor when found and brought to Full Moon Farm. Two of our enclosures need to be rebuilt. One houses River our Ambassador animal and the other houses Indy and Coal, two low content animals that are among our longest standing residents.
