Before construction can begin on any new project, the site must be cleared. On a lot a block away from Providence Portland Medical Center we are poised to begin our journey. The former Moore Lithograph building has put up a good fight, but it is ultimately making way for our new Guest Housing facility. The heavy equipment has moved in and the site should be cleared within a month. Then construction is expected to be complete within the next year. We are still only halfway to our fundraising goal, but we are optimistic we will complete this massive effort within the next 12 months. Please, stay tuned for future updates as construction progresses. This is so important to the patients and families who continue to choose Providence Portland Medical Center as their destination for health care services. It's critical that these vulnerable members of society have access to a safe, covenient and affordable "home away from home" during their treatment.
