One of our most generous and supportive staff members at Providence passed away in February. Our sadness turned to joy in April when we received news that Providence had been included in this person's estate plans for a significant six figure amount. This gift will be directed to our Guest Housing project and that provides a HUGE boost to our efforts. We now stand at $1.4 million on our way to the $2 million mark. Once we reach that milestone we can put this project out to bid and begin talking to some of our contractors who have voiced an interest in providing their services at significant discounts. The total estimated cost of this project is $4 million...but we may be able to bring that cost down significantly with donated supplies and labor. We're all still confident we can move this project forward this year. We look forward to the day when we can begin demolition on the existing building. Thanks for all your support!
