The Providence Portland Medical Foundation Guest Housing project moved forward in 2011. By the end of the year we had reached $908,000 in cash on hand and another $100,000+ in verbal pledges. That takes us over the $1 million mark and past a significant milestone in our fundraising efforts. Now it's on to our second million. Once we've acheived that level of success we will be able to move this project forward more rapidly as we seek a general contractor through the competitive bid process. We've already had a number of sub-contractors approach us about providing in-kind gifts of materials. Before we can accept those gifts, we need a contractor on board. Before we can get a contractor on board, we need $2 million. That's our goal in 2012.
