Happy Holidays from NAAF!
When the rainfall from Hurricane Rosa produced "unprecedented levels of flooding on the Tohono O’odham Nation (TON), particularly in the vicinity of the Menagers Dam Community," the community pulled together and provided help where help was needed. NAAF would like to express our gratitude to all of the volunteers who donated their time and services to help out after this devastating storm.
The Pia Oik Community now has its own After-School Program!
NAAF recently assisted Pia Oik Community in establishing their own after-school program! This new program runs Monday – Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. 15 students attend the program, which is run by 5 parent volunteers all trained by NAAF staff. The students are served a snack and enjoy arts & crafts and outdoor games.
Recent NAAF Sponsored Community Events!
NAAF aims to provide frequent, fun, substance-free family events at no cost to the community or participants. Through close collaborations with The Store, volunteers, and Tribal organizations, NAAF is able to encourage community engagement, substance awareness, and health and wellness.
