Our Summer LEADership courses this year were a success. At the Summer LEAD Graduation on August 11th students from our public speaking course took the stage for a speech competition at El Segundo City Hall. They delivered powerful speeches about global warming to a room full of community members, friends and family.
What’s next for young leaders and trees at Tree Musketeers? Make a Difference Day is coming up and we are looking forward to stepping up our game from last year! This annual event, planned by our young leaders, will be taking place on October 25th. It will feature a Clean Up Competition where groups of volunteers go head-to-head to see which team can bag up the most litter and invasive plants in just one hour. Remember, litter removal and controling invasive plants are essential to maintaining the health of our native trees. We will also have a speech given by one of our youth managers!
Lend us a hand by making a monetary donation or donate your time at an upcoming volunteer event! You can check out our calendar for future volunteer opportunities with the Tree Musketeers.
Thank you so much for your support!
