First we would like to express our gratitude for the impressive number of people who felt motivated to donate to our project. It truly is an inspiration and your support is fueling our forward momentum. Thank you!
We've already started empowering new young people in the past couple weeks. A new LEAD (Leadership Education and Action Development) series of courses began. These classes provide youth with the opportunity to learn skills that will help them succeed as leaders, both in school and later in life. In the end, the young people will have acquired educational enrichment, self-confidence, team spirit, and the means to make a significant contribution to quality of life and the community.
Our volunteers, including at-risk youth, have also been active caring for local trees in the South Bay with our Community Forester, James. And we're planning to do more on October 26, when we celebrate Make a Difference Day - if you're in the area, please join us for a day of fun and tree love!
We hope you will enjoy hearing about our activities and achievements in the coming months as we send new reports. Please feel free to be in touch as well to share your comments and questions.
Blake, Hannah, Julian, Kurt, Lina, Raquel, Samantha, and Talia, the Youth Management Team
