Thank you Global Giving donors – with your support, Green Map System has launched a fast fun new Mobile Site Collector today!
Designed to extend engagement and involve new participants in making Open Green Maps, the Collector is a responsive webapp that can be used on smartphones, tablets or on the desktop. It can even be used offline in areas without wifi.
The Collector has both Simplified and Traditional Chinese interfaces! We expect these to be among the most popular of its 13 language options. Residents, visitors, students alike - all can collect great green living sites with ease. Every site is reviewed by the local mapmaker, and each is automatically acknowledged once it's live on the map.
We are delighted that a young Chinese designer made graphics for us and starting today, these are helping to spread the news in the many communities where Green Mapmaking has taken root in Asia and beyond. We invite you to visit GreenMap.org/mobile to download these images, and see all the resources we offer currently to support mobile research and site collection, with more to come!
We'll be announcing the next phase of mobile development soon, and using the hashtag #mobiGreenMap to share what's happening around the world. Thank you again for your help in making this happen!
