This project gives vulnerable youth the chance to study the Forestry Technical High School program in Belen. With a scholarship, each student receives education, housing, meals, materials, and hands-on training in forestry and entrepreneurship, opening a path to green jobs, dignity, and a future beyond poverty.
Many young people in rural and peri-urban Paraguay face serious barriers to accessing quality education that can lead to real employment. Poverty, limited family income, distance from opportunities, and few technical training options restrict their future. Without support, students may leave school early, enter informal or unstable work, or remain trapped in cycles of poverty.
This project will provide scholarships for vulnerable students to attend the Forestry Technical High School program at Fundacion Paraguaya's Self-Sufficient School in Belen. Scholarships will cover school fees, meals, housing, materials, uniforms, basic technology, and supplies for practical training in forestry, entrepreneurship, and sustainable production.
In the long term, this project will help students gain the technical skills, confidence, and practical experience needed to build dignified livelihoods. Graduates will be better prepared to find green jobs, continue studying, or start enterprises linked to forestry and rural production, strengthening their families and communities while caring for the environment.
